We’re excited to roll out a new feature here at Soap & Supply – Oils a la Carte. We can now offer refillable, customizable skin care products utilizing our curated selection of botanical oils that protect, balance, soften, and revitalize your skin. 

For five years, we’ve been diligently honing our oil skills with the goal of offering only the highest-quality, cold-pressed, sustainably sourced organic oils. Through that effort we’ve formed relationships with some small companies that we believe in based on their superior products, ethics, and transparency. 

Our staff is eager to sit down with you and help build your very own personalized skin care products. If you’re not sure where to start, we're happy to offer some guidelines, but it all really boils down to your research and intuition; the rest is trial and error.

Botanical Oils

We curated ten carrier oils and three blends to protect, balance, soften, and revitalize your skin. You can choose from our six proprietary essential oil blends to add to the carrier oils of your choice, imparting extra benefits for your skin plus intoxicating natural aromas that will keep you coming back for more.

The following organic carrier oils are available for refill:

Apricot Kernel

(lightweight)

Organic, virgin; natural source of vitamin A (basis of retinol), treats hyperpigmentation and sagging; light enough to treat dark circles and puffiness in under eye area; soothes and hydrates; patch test for nut allergies.

Argan

(lightweight)

Organic, virgin, Moroccan; used for skin elasticity, stretch mark prevention and reduction, hair health; regulates sebum production and supports acne-prone skin; softens dry patches and fine lines.

Avocado

(midweight)

Organic; helpful for scars, sunburn, accelerates wound healing; contains antioxidants for skin repair (lecithin, chlorophyll); can mitigate mild sun overexposure.

Camellia (tea seed)

(lightweight)

Organic, Asia; similar composition to human skin oils; non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores); lightweight; soothes inflammation with vitamins A, C, and E; firming.

Castor

(heavyweight)

Organic, USP (United States Pharmacopeia, i.e. food grade); rich, occlusive (creates a moisture barrier), healing, analgesic, softens scars, antibacterial, anti-fungal, thick and highly emollient; ameliorates hyperpigmentation with regular use.

Grapeseed

(lightweight)

Organic, cold-pressed; rich with Vitamin E; fights free radicals; calms acne; minimizes pore size; supports skin elasticity. 

Jojoba

(midweight)

Organic, virgin, gold, Peruvian; close match to human sebum; easy absorption; adds suppleness to skin, helpful for eczema, rosacea, and other sensitivities; shelf-stable for approximately 3 years.

MCT Cocout

(lightweight)

Organic; high absorbency, shelf-stable; neutral aroma; antimicrobial, gentle, nourishing for all skin types.

Olive

(midweight)

Organic extra virgin; speeds wound healing; protects and nourishes; preserves and repairs with Vitamin E; can neutralize light sun damage with squalene.

Shea Butter

(heavyweight)

Organic Nilotica shea, treats ashy, rough, dull skin; rich, occlusive; non-greasy; anti-inflammatory, restores with provitamin A and vitamin E; great for crepey, scaly skin. 

Rich Body Oil

(heavyweight)

Our proprietary melange of MCT coconut, jojoba, castor, and avocado oils. Use it as is, or pair it with one of our EO blends for reliable, luxuriant skin sustenance; fabulous for rough, parched skin. 

Sheer Body Oil

(lightweight)

A quick-absorbing, nourishing blend of apricot, camellia, and sunflower oils, with just a touch of shea butter.

Glow Facial Oil

(midweight)

A combination of two organic, vitamin A-rich oils (Rosehip and Buriti) known for putting the brakes on aging skin. Use it au naturel, or spice it up with an EO blend.

Essential Oil Blends

We worked with a local perfumer to create six proprietary essential oil blends that impart extra benefits for your skin plus intoxicating natural aromas that will keep you coming back for more.

Usage: For face, add 1-3 drops per ounce of carrier oil; for body, add 3-6 drops per ounce of carrier oil. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

These can be added to our botanical oils as well as Ultra Thick Cream, Shea Butter Lotion, Goat Milk Lotion, bath salts, and salt or sugar scrubs.

Rosina Essential Oil Blend

An intoxicating, prominently rose-scented blend for rose lovers. Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, ameliorates hyperpigmentation, improves the appearance of scars and stretch marks, detoxifying, emollient, softens fine lines, relieves rosacea, uneven skin tone.

Skin types: Dry, mature

Green Essential Oil Blend

An earthy, irresistible root-and-flower aroma. Cleansing, collagen-boosting,  anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, oil-balancing, soothes psoriasis and eczema, reduces puffiness, improves the appearance of age spots, scars, and stretch marks, softens fine lines.

Wild Cedar Essential Oil Blend

A coniferous walk in a pristine forest. Clarifying, tonifying, promotes elasticity, corrects uneven skin tone, balances sebum, mitigates wrinkles, lightens dark circles.

Skin types: Normal, combination, oily

Jasmine Sandalwood Essential Oil Blend

A pungent, exotic blend of rare oils. Deeply emollient, promotes collagen production, regulates oil production, tames pores, reduces redness and irritation, diminishes fine lines, fosters cellular regeneration, accelerates healing.

Skin types: Dry, mature

Lavender Essential Oil

A crisp, clean single-note experience from a favorite floral delight. Anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, soothing, cleansing, tonifying, brightening, supports the repair of skin damage and scar tissue.

Frankincense essential oil

A rich, woody, resinous oil with time-honored benefits.

Firming, toning, clarifying, stimulates cell turnover, tames wrinkles and scars, heals blemishes, promotes radiance and suppleness.

Lotions 

We’ve got three outstanding refillable lotions available through Oils a la Carte that can be customized with our botanical oils as well as our essential oil blends. 

Ultra Thick Cream

A simple, unscented,  coconut-based, heavy-duty cream that nourishes the skin and creates a lasting moisture barrier; safe for kids.

Skin Types: All

Shea Butter Lotion

Rich shea butter coats the skin to lock in moisture with abundant fatty acids. Sweet almond oil corrects dryness and flaking. Meadowfoam seed oil harmonizes with the skin’s natural sebum.

Skin types: All

Goat Milk Lotion

Nurturing goat milk penetrates deeply to bolster the skin barrier. Rosewater restores pH balance to lock in softness. Honey boosts hydration and disables bacteria.

Bath Salt Blend 

A blend of epsom and Dead Sea salts for detox and relaxation. As with the lotions, we can create a personalized bath salt blend for you using our essential oil blends or herbal tinctures.  

Epsom Salts: Helpful for sore muscles, bruises, sprains, fibromyalgia, and stress relief.

Dead Sea Salts: Contains ten times more minerals than regular sea salt. Useful for cleansing and calming the skin,  muscle and joint relaxation, and general detoxification.

Sugar and Salt Scrubs

Choose between our salt blend or turbinado sugar, then mix it with either Rich Body Oil or Sheer Body Oil Blend. Finally, choose a scent from one of our six essential oil blends, if you like.

Herbal Tinctures 

Powerful tinctures made locally by Remedios Naturales. These work best in bath salt soaks and lotions. 

Arnica: This tincture penetrates deep into muscles and joints to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and heal bruising.

Plantain: Anti-inflamatory tincture that soothes skin irritations such as eczema, psoriasis and insect bites.
